Auckland Programme for Space Systems

Auckland Programme for Space Systems

The Auckland Programme for Space Systems (APSS) is an initiative designed for students of all areas of study throughout the University to collaborate to reach a common goal – contributing broadly towards the field of space research.

To achieve this, the programme will launch an annual process of student-led competitions to identify inspiring high-profile missions, and create multi-skilled teams to eventually support and participate in the construction and launch of a satellite.

The programme kicks off with the Mission Proposal Challenge (MPC), a call for all University of Auckland undergraduate students to propose and develop mission ideas for nanosatellites to be launched into orbit.
